About Us : Mission

OUR VISION
IOH believes that homeless families, with proper support, can achieve self sufficiency.

OUR MISSION
To provide an opportunity for legally married parents and single heads of household who are in economic crisis to become self-sufficient through a transitional housing program. IOH believes that homeless families can rebuild their lives given proper financial and emotional support, life skills training, personal and spiritual development, education and vocation training, and a stable home environment.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  • To provide a safe, secure interim home for homeless families who want to become, and are capable of becoming, self-sufficient
  • To assist these families in developing meaningful personal and career goals and objectives
  • To help these families develop plans to achieve their goals and to identify resources that will assist them; to provide encouragement along the way
  • To help these families find suitable, affordable housing when they are ready to leave IOH
  • To provide follow-up services that assist with the transition into independent living and the larger community
